Description

It is finished and ready for first-light!  Unless there is someone hiding out there in seclusion, this is the only true 10" f/4 astrograph in existence.  Donor telescope was TS Photon for optics and hardware.  Many modifications were done:  Extended tube, larger secondary,  black velvet flock entire internal tube. Equipped with an ASI294MC Pro camera,   TS-Optics NEWTON Coma Corrector 1.0x TSGPU Superflat - 4-element, ZWO EAF focuser, ASIair Pro, 60mm helical guide scope.

In the past I used the Orion 10" f/3.9 astrograph and noticed a slight difference between that and a 10" f/4 Orion observing scope.  I became interested to see if there really would be a significant difference with a true astrograph.  I researched the difference between a "normal" observing telescope and an astrograph.  I decided to build one that utilized all the details in design and operation.  I found, in my research, that flocking the entire tube, along with the extended length, would equal the performance of using baffles.  It was a difficult decision until I found out how much it would cost to machine a set of nine baffles.
